Yeah, there's some dodgy stuff out there. The rF2 60s formula cars are as much fun as I've ever had in a sim though. So rewarding to get right.

I've made a promise to myself that when I retire I'll get myself a new gaming rig and a sim cockpit that I'll be able to sit my no doubt by then fat arse into. Something to look forward to!

I FINALLY found RealFeel settings that work:

The most important in this is the DefaultFrontGripEffect. Use very strong Force Feedback. Set this to 1.0000. Every time you lock the front tyres, or slide the front tyres too much, the steering wheel will go light. This is how it feels in real life also This should shave a lot of time off my laps.

These two are also critical in the Controller.ini:

Speed Sensitive Steering="0.00000"

If you use a 900 degree wheel, these must be set to 0.0. Otherwise, your movements on the steering wheel will not match those on the screen. They're kind of like driving aids. Since turning them off, driving the F1 car has felt much more realistic and natural.

All of them. It's combined with Leo's FF plugin to provide maximum realism.

I think it could still feel a little better though. I can't feel the 'shape' of the tyre very well.

In the RealFeelPlugin.ini for each vehicle. I put them under [General] at the top so any new car I drive will use these settings by default.

I have rFactor in my PC, but... little practice in years.
Have a nice Momo Logitech steering wheel, but now is a good oldie,
looking at now metal equipment that are for computers.

If you know anything as a novice... Unfortunately, I don't have any credit card to pay rF club memberships....

absolutely loving the 1989 mod. Weirdly, around Zolder79 it is magic.
