The problem with this layout is that it still has a chicane in it. I'd propose something like this:

That's a cool idea, but the Outer Loop is pretty dangerous. I have no problem with the Glen's chicane since it was properly done, unlike the Tilke massacres in Europe...

It would be pretty cool though!

When made safe enough properly. That means enough marshalling, armco. Also it has to be resurfaced completely to get rid of the bumps. Derek Bell mentioned that already in his video "in car 956".

I don't mean the elevation changes like at Quiddelbacher Höhe, Fuchsröhe or Pflantzgarten. The tarmac should be made a little more smooth. Nowadays the Nordschleife is a big huge backbreaker.

But it would never happen. There were more reasons to quit driving the Nordschleife with F1 cars than only the safety measures.

The DTM should drive there again still!!!!

I guess you'd have to care about the old Südschleife much more than the rough Nordschleife asphalt then.

O, not only the surface... it has become a small country road now.... nothing remembers of the good old Suedschleife.

I had no love for this circuit as a driver point of view when racing it on GT4. But now ive done it on PGR3, i love it. I plan to go over to Germany in my Mini with my mate in his golf, and do the track! YEH!
