Bottom post of the previous page:

Last time Ferrari had a 1-2 was Bahrain 2022. Not as far back as I thought. Before that Singapore 2019 and before that Hungary 2017

SO Japan next. Last time RB didnt win was Singapore last year.... also the race before Japan. History says it will be Max again next race as he won Japan last year.

Hehehe now they seem to be hinting Nando brake tested George.... or at least slowed more than he needed to make GR lose front downforce.

Maybe Fernando was harvesting battery power to have more power to deploy to help fight off George's charge. :suspicious: :whistling:

Feels to me like Russell was thinking about the next corner and not actually paying attention to the moment.

Max can be unhappy over his DNF, but shuffling over to Mercedes will not resolve anything. Not at the moment. He has some thinking to do.

With all the telemetry they have, plus Merc being the Aston engine supplier they will have all the Aston engine data available to them. No one seems to be making accusations yet beyond George saying Nando was suddenly much closer going into that turn than on previous laps.

But yeah George should have been focusing on Where he was rather than where he was through the corner on the previous lap.

Russell probably lost aero behind Alonso and that was the reason for the crash. Nothing else. I saw some onboards from Hamilton when he was in the race, and the rear end did not look planted even in clean air.

Alonso given a post-race 20 second penalty for causing Russell's crash... :sarcasm:

George Russell is a bad racing driver.

There, I said it. Second time in a half a year he crashes whilst chasing in the closing laps. He has caused massive accidents in the past while chasing (against Bottas in Imola in 2021 for example).

Being fast is one thing, being able to race is another, and Russell is showing his ineptitude at that.

Ridiculous penalty.

Merc really are totally and utterly lost, aren’t they? Second year they’ve proclaimed that they’ve understood their issues from the previous year and fixed them only to - within a month of the season starting - have gone backwards again. There’s a fundamental issue with the team and how it’s put together at the moment, because more than any other team they’re just seemingly flailing around in the dark. Lewis is getting out at the right time.

Then again, if I am Ferrari aI am looking at what Sainz is doing now and beginning to panic that the multi-millions they’re going to be giving a 2025-spec Lewis Hamilton might actually be a downgrade from the much cheaper option they currently have.

Pole position I think indicates that Max has something to do with wining races. It's not all just the machine. Dr. Marko asserted, this last race was not RB/Max's the preordained win, DNF or not. He has figured out RB was significantly slower than Ferrari. Will be Singapore another one for Ferrari?
