Rate the 2024 Bahrain GP

Just have a few moments finally to post this...back tomorrow with my reaction to the first F1 race of 2024.

I gave it a 5, the racing was much the same as last year. Sainz kept me entertained or the score would have been even lower.

I loved the race. But that is also because Max is winning.

Carlos, who gives a big flipping bird towards Ferrari and CLAP, who is really underachieving.
Russell who finishes before Hamilton.
Norris who finishes before Hamilton.
Tsunoda, who shows that he still can not keep his emotions under control.

I was also impressed with Max. His control and focus on his job is exemplary.

If this is the first race of the season, with new cars, rusty drivers... Urgh.

3. Off track action is far more interesting than the on track action.

I would rate the off-track action a 7.

8 for the drama, and a bonus point for the stewards letting it play out instead of red flagging it.

3. De je vu, here we go again. I didn't mind last season but a repeat is going to be exhausting. The cars are just too reliable now and the tracks too safe. I can't see an easy fix other than Verstappen leaving Red Bull for another team. Here's hoping.

Based on recent times he probably couldn't do any worse than the lot we have now, or the opposition who hope to get in and will no doubt do even more damage to the country
