Anyhow, I guess LeClerc is now going to do a Hamilton (raise a political/social issue as part of F1).
He also made an album. Seems like LeClerc has been Hamilton's protege all along.
Yes, 2025 could be the start of a beautiful relationship between soul mates Le Clerc and Hamilton.

Several F1 drivers have made albums over the years. Jacques Villeneuve made one and my daughter bought me a signed copy of it as a gift. I listened to it once and since then it's been sitting in a cupboard, I won't throw it away but one listen was more than enough for me thanks. Just saying :whistling:

Such was the emotional, spiritual impact. You will carry it with you, always, after just one listen.

Surely the best artist of his era.

Having heard his album, I have to agree sadly. Some people should stick to what they're best at

Lando has a Gil De Ferran tribute helmet, which has totally shocked me because I didn't realise he had passed away.

Both drivers have a tribute to him, Oscar Piastri's is more subtle though. Gil De Ferran died at the end of last year sadly. :sorrow:

Makes sense given Gilles was the Sporting Director at McLaren when he passed, and he did two stints with the F1 team. 56 is very young for someone allegedly in good health.
A very nice tribute on the McLaren website: https://www.mclaren.com/racing/heritage ... de-ferran/

Rumor has it, that Toto is considering to sell his Mercedes F1 shares. Buy low and sell high is a rule of the game, I believe.

Binotto just took a job with Texa in the E-powertrain division. So back to being an engineer. I assume that takes him out of the F1 market for now: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/ ... 186b&ei=13

Im posting this video from RBR. Its a PR day with DC in the RB1 and Max in the RB20.

The reason im posting it is more because you get glimpses of the two cars in the same frame. The RB20 just looks like a monster com[pared to the smaller and more nimble RB1.

It just highlights how much F1 cars have grown. I know we are all aware and complain of the size on the current F1 car, with all its Hybrid nonsense and bulky bits for crash protection and safety, but.....

This shows what I mean quite well. It was a bit of a wow moment for me to see how ridiculous the modern day car looks.

Its much worse if you go back to the late sixties. Ferraris from 1967, 2000 and 2018.

Re the size and tank like proportions of F1, I found this category by category size comparison interesting. We have seen loads of stuff on F1 size changes over the years but never current (ish) category variations.

I must admit I was surprised at the fact LMP are so much more compact than F1 given they have even more all wheel drive, hybrid and electrical stuff to carry for longer distances plus all the H&S crap that goes with the 21st century. Having said that Im not sure how the new Hypercar category of WEC compare to the previous LMP1.

Just goes to show bigger isnt always better.

Interesting. How far can an LMP1 car go on a tank of fuel? 20 laps of LeMans? If so, that's just short (272km) of the 300km the F1 cars do.
The Indy cars are closer in fuel tank size to the older F1 cars as they refuel often during a race.
