Interesting request...I'll trawl through some of my archives and see if I can find anything in a few days.

Ping me if you don't hear from me.

Yeah all I have seen is a video with grid positions and lap by lap position data only, plus a 'virtual' bit of it as an Ascari onboard!

I do know for a fact that the BBC were at the race and Motorsport Magazine in their race report commented on the quality of Raymond Baxter as a commentator. Of course that in no way suggests they were there with cameras... they likely would not have been. They would more likely have been providing radio coverage. Often the UK very early video stuff was Newsreel stuff from Pathe. I guess other European and overseas news channels had similar set ups. :dunno:

Another reason might have been the length of the race.... over 3 hours and 500klms. :idunno:

One negative during the weekend (on the Friday) was that Fagioli passed away, as a result of injuries received when he crashed at the Monaco GP three weeks prior (run for Sports cars in1952)

From Motorsport Mag
The race started dead on time, to the astonishment of the BBC. Warm tribute is due to Raymond Baxter for a first-class commentary delivered under anything but ideal conditions.

Commenting on Formula II the programme made reference to la menace illusoire de la BRM.

There only seems to be one sort of red, blue or yellow for Italy, France and Belgium, but there are now almost as many shades of green as there are British entries.

With deep dismay we learn that Fagioli passed away on June 20th, following his recent accident at Monte Carlo.

I have one, from Gaumont Pathé I think.
I need to look for it, though.
