Waters gets the jump with Payne 2ndthen Feeney JLB and Brown. A bit of contact in T1 but it sorts itself out

Mostert had a poor start dropped places and is now back up to 5th.

Payne and Waters had a tangle for the lead and they take each other off. Feeney leads Brown and both the Fords are out.

SC deployed.

Payne is missing a rear wing and Waters is up on a tirewll and the cameras missed the actual event so unclear how it all unfolded.

This wont be a quick cleanup

I think that Waters got into the back of Payne and pushed him wide at the final left hander on the lap. Payne then gave Waters. a hefty hip and shoulder into the wall. Before I blame it on Payne road rage retaliation it might well be that his move across on Waters was because maybe one of the Red Bulls was outside Payne and squeezed him.

One race where Ford has a chance to win and they blow it like that. This is hilariously bad tbh.

OK Payne being interviewed said Waters bump was over the top and his move across pushing Cam off was just Matt wanting to open up the line not realising Cam was there. Now we have vision it was a tough bump from Cam but the move by Matt after that was at best VERY clumsy. If he didnt see Waters he lacks spatial awareness.

The official enquiry was that no one driver was predominantly to blame and no further action.

It seems it was a tit for tat started by an over the top tap in the rear by Cam on Matt that pushed Matt wide. Matt equally came back across too aggressively.

They both screwed up, they both lost out and they both have damaged cars to fix.

The worst part is it gives an easy 1-2 to T8 when we get the restart. If we get a restart. Lap 6/14 now and if they go by the time certain clock there might only be another lap or two.

The restart order is Feeney Brown Mostert Reynolds JLB Slade Hazlewood Stanaway and we will get a restart this time round, at the start of lap 7/14

Feeney and Brown has broken away a bit but nothing between them. Brown is right on Feeneys bumper.

Mostert is getting closer given the RB are no doubt holding each other up. This could be fun.

One lap left after the lap we are omn. Maybe some tears as Mostert is looking very on it. He looks like a lunge is on! Feeney has a bit of a gap mnow as Brown deals with Mostert.

Percat 4th in points. Guess the old Le Brocq ride is doing well while it looked like Percat was very much in decline the last couple of years. Of course these teams could have Car A and Car B approach and Hill is hardly making headlines in season two.
