Horner: We are giving Daniel 12 races to see what he’s capable of
GP247
Well Mr. Horner, you have afforded Nyck whole 10. It's nice to have confirmation how your mind works.

Right... So, in the interest of fairness, they should throw out Ricciardo after ten races, too - and then what, exactly? Put in Vries again for the last two races? Seriously?

You might not like him, but Mr. Horner is doing an excellent job. And not making childish decisions.

Bottom 5 seems a bit cruel, so I've gone for just behind Tsunoda.

Given Tsunoda is 17th in the standings, bottom 5 is well within grasp even if he finishes ahead of him.

In all seriousness, I see Ricciardo finishing just in front of Tsunoda (which is usually just outside of the points). But it was a strong possibility of a DNF in his first race back.

Well both Alpha Tauris are sporting the balance of the latest major upgrade package that was partially there for Silverstone, so both Yuki and Danny might have a bit more ammunition to play with this weekend..... That the upgrade is targeted to improve rear end grip in slow corners might not have been Manna from Heaven at Silverstone but might be be particularly beneficial at the Hungaroring.
A big update introduced at the British Grand Prix has been months in the planning and is specifically targeted at improving that rear end grip in slow corners. There is a second phase to this upgrade, which is scheduled to appear this weekend in Budapest – where it will be raced by Yuki Tsunoda and his new team mate Daniel Ricciardo.
The Silverstone part of the upgrade was based around a new floor, upper bodywork and diffuser. There was also a new version of the medium downforce rear wing, though this was a separate development.

I have gone for 'right behind Tsunoda'. I was going for bottom 5 but then thought, maybe the upgrade package might make the car a bit more competitive seeing as it targets areas of benefit to going well at the Hungaroring as per my post above. I also toyed with 13th but declined that on the basis of its a bit too specific an answer for a random anything could happen type question. I also think a DNF could be on the cards.
Secretly I hope Yuki beats Danny, not because of anything against Danny, but more that I find Yuki makes me smile and I like his all in attitude, not to mention big heart in a little man.. Plus his radio messages are often pure gold.

I am an optimist, I have gone for 'right in front of Tsunoda'. I think Dan is going to come back full of confidence and determination, so I expect him to do quite well. Then again, I am usually a glass half full person, I can't help myself. I know the car is crap, but if willing it to win was enough, I would think Danny Ric would be on the podium ;)

I like Yuki, I really do, I have nothing at all against the guy, I just think Dan is really up for this.
Just so you know, I am a woman

To be fair, the way F1 is run these days you could as well throw a few dice, and take that as your prediction. Pit stops, safety cars, red flags and tyres that are designed to provide ***a show*** [glitter * sparkle * shine]... In a world where Gasly, Ocon and Ricciardo have won races that they had no right to win on performance alone, race results have become pretty meaningless. Ho hum.

Dont forget, Michael, that the SC has now been unofficially renamed the REV, or Random/Race Entertainment Vehicle.
