[WEC] 2024 CALENDAR Confirmed.... No Sebring ?

The 2024 WEC Calendar hs been released, and the first thing that jumps out at me is the traditional season opener at Sebring appears to have been replaced by something non-descript at Qatar. (Losail) I recall I had heard a rumour that Sebring night not be on the list this year, but might be off has becime WILL BE off.

Silverstone continues to be absent.

North America has been given a return to Austin in its place from what I can tell.

I read somewhere that the Qatar race is some random distance of 1812 klms. Not sure what that is all about.

EDIT: OK its related to a moment of National significance..... "It will be a distance race of 1812km in celebration of the year of the country’s independence, although there will be a cut-off if that distance hasn’t been reached at 10 hours."

The other event change of note is that Monza has been replaced by Imola..... also the return of Interlagos

What I found most exciting about this is that the Le Mans date is as predicated...

Accommodation already booked at the correct date - woohoo!

But sucks that Sebing isn't included. Would be a whole host of extra LMDh cars otherwise?
