Unfortunately it is under the Motorsport Games banner so it'll probably never be released, but IF it is, it will use the rFactor2 engine:

Why? :dunno: It'll likely be an arcade game with crap physics, like their other titles.

But you're right, it'll probably never be released, so doesn't really matter.

They said it's using the rFactor2 engine and is being developed by Studio 397 so I assumed it would be a sim :dunno:

I actually missed the part about rFactor2. It does hold some promise then :)...provided it comes out!

There's a nice interview here with the head of S397. Sounds very promising!

tbh, it does. Some very interesting innovative features, hope they can make it bug-free.

Seems to be on track...? The Le Mans Ultimate team has released not one but TWO preview videos of a Ferrari 499P at Monza!

I'd rather just pay to have it as DLC on GT7 or Forza personally.

Arcade games with garbage physics? No thanks.

Have you actually driven GT7?

The last one I tried was GT Sport. It's not exactly Need For Speed but it's a simcade at best - simplified physics that make it easy for any n00b to pick up and play with a controller. This Le Mans game has a much greater chance of success and longevity as a pukka sim in my opinion.

I'm still cautiously optimistic about this. It's the gameplay part that will set it apart from rF2, hopefully. Will check out reviews before I purchase for sure.

Less than three weeks from release now and there's not been any real updates since above. What do you reckon?

Does not bode very well, lol. The other big motorsport game this winter, EA WRC, had a huge marketing campaign, but I guess they want us to lower our expectations. That the game will first be in Early Access on Steam doesn't really mean anything, so that does not worry me. It is the lack of marketing that gives me the creeps.

The lack of marketing might be because they don't have anything marketable to show :whistling: We got blurred images of the Ferrari interior and almost nothing of the other cars so I can only presume they weren't finished. And it seems some pretty important gameplay features like driver switching haven't been completed yet. But at least they are sticking to their release date.
