Two ridiculous decisions in one race.
Yeah it was really poor today. Waiting to see if they decided Alonso has another penalty because the rear jack touched the car before the five seconds had elapsed.

Not exactly a vintage race. Even a shaky SC didn't help matters.

Wake me up when another team catches up.

You know they’re feeling good about themselves when post-race Max speaks about how he was “clearing” rivals.

Congrats to Fernando on his 100th podium in F1.

That has him as 6th overall in F1 History..... behind Lewis, Schumacher, Vettel, Prost and Kimi.

He’s still under investigation.

The out of his grid slot penalty was bullshit.

The rear jack touching the car during the five second penalty would be just as hilarious.

So it looks like Fernando might actually lose that podium.....

He had a 5 second penalty to be served before service in the pits..... apparently the jack touched the car just before the 5 seconds were up.

If found guilty it seems the default penalty is 10 seconds... thats what Ocon got for a similar offence in Bahrain.

If he gets 5 seconds penalty no change,.... he keeps his podium
If he gets 10 secs he will drop to 4th and George Russell will get the podium. He will just stay ahead of Lewis

Remember the days when you could point the car at a 45 degree angle at the start to get around slow turbo starters. And steal a few metres before the lights went

10 seconds for Alonso

That will also alter the WCC positions and put Mercedes outright 2nd over AM

Thats a 6 point turnaround, with AM losing 3 and Merc gaining 3.

1. Red Bull Honda RBPT 87
2. Mercedes 41
3. Aston Martin Mercedes 35

REVISED RACE RESULTS AND CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS

Given the original result is again reinstated with Alonso 3rd I have used @PTRACER's wonderful post edit function to reinstate the original post up the page, so this revised results was no longer relevant and the content deleted
