Kyle Larson is this years oldest driver in the championship 4, at just 31 years old.
No driver in the championship 4 drove in NASCAR during the 2000s, and none drove a Cup race in the COT era (2008-2012), with Larson making his first Cup start in 2013, Blaney in 2014, Byron in 2018 and Bell in 2020.
andddd that right there is why the Truck series has fallen apart over the last decade, too many youngsters full of themselves with zero regard for their teams hard work.
I stopped following Trucks full-time around 2013. Looks like I missed nothing. It's a modern motor racing problem, too many young drivers who think they are playing video games on minimal damage settings.

TBH, it's even worse than video games. Don't think I've seen this level of avoidable carnage in some of the iRacing oval stock car streams that I watched.

Agreed 100%. The same reason i don't follow the Trucks any more. And i see it dripping into the X-Finity series too. Former Trucks drivers who import their behaviour into X-Finity.

Ryan Blaney claims his first NASCAR Cup series championship at Phoenix, while Ross Chastain takes out the race win. Remarkably that's the first time in 10 years a non "championship 4" driver has won the final race.
Kevin Harvick’s final interview as a driver. I have a feeling he will now be on the other side of the microphone for years to come as he moves into the FOX broadcast booth from next year.
Of all the drivers who ran in 2007, the first season i followed NASCAR fully, only a very few are still there. Kyle Busch, Truex, Hamlin are amongst them. Also Harvick, a driver i always respected a lot.
