I love it.... if only because it hits a nostalgia button somewhere, and reminds me of I think it was the BASF livery back in the M1 Procar days. (In my mind the best one make series ever)

Well, the car IS recognizeable on track so that's a small bonus among a horde of white-black-grey-ish cars that we usually have. The scheme itself would look better with different colors most likely. The #999 lizard/snake Mercedes was my personal favorite

I don't think that's how they saw it, really. If I recall correctly, the team was well aware of the atrocious looks, but had contracts to fulfil...

The team / crew and driver suits looked a trifle odd as well. At the end of the day both Lucky Strike and 555 got coverage from the whole episode.



An overhead of the car shows the finished treatment well.... where the zipper is open near the front (on silver background) was space for the non tobacco minor sponsors IIRC. With the rear wing treatment 555 got the top and one endplate whilst Lucky Strike got the rearward facing and other end plate.





This what the FIA outlawed in the first place. Much prettier.
