F1 Vintage Humour

I'm not sure where to post this, but it is surely nostalgia.

So, the way I recall this joke, a policeman stops a car speeding in the streets of London. Ayrton Senna rolls down the window.

"And who do you think you are, young man," says the policeman, "Nigel Mansell?"

I heard Stirling Moss was pulled by a policeman who asked him "Who are you, Stirling Moss?" And he obviously was. Might be some UK racing lore though?
And obviously the ITV humour from the short-lived Schumacher vs Coulthard "rivalry" in 2001:

07.04.1968 - Flower of Scotland when will we see your like again?
01.05.1994 - We'll never forget...

Schumi had a great sense of humour. I recently found this gem:

The quotes from "Gladiator" are hilarious. Jean Todt would have been an Oscar-winning actor.

Also Schumi, dubbing "Cars". His Italian is so good and also hilarious.

And this one practically killed me back then, when I believed Senna was a serious guy:

One more before I slink away cowering in shame. McLaren sure had a sense of humour. Of course my fave part is from 13"15'. Bruno Senna himself dubbed his uncle:

(and no, I never washed my hand again either since I touched his at the Autosprint Caschi D'Oro)

I never understood why the characters in the McLaren shorts looked straight out of the "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs" movies.

Button almost looks like a dead ringer for the main character in those films.

Love the one with Murray. "Faaaantastic! This is the most exciting thing I have seen in 92 years, which is incredible because I'm only 89"

Hmmmm no mention of Niki Lauda as a World Champion with McLaren. The first one of the McLaren International / Ron Dennis era. The only Champion not depicted or referred to from either version of McLaren :suspicious: . The only part of 1984 they refer to are Prosts failures, and the fact he lost by half a point. No mention that he lost it to Lauda also in a McLaren. No huge mention of Lewis either. I wonder if that is because Niki was behind persuading Lewis to quit McLaren and join Mercedes and sign Sergio to join Jenson.

I too wondered about Niki. I fear he was cast as a bad guy because back then he was already in Mercedes. RIP Niki.

Some more quotes from our Murray:

I can't find the more epic one: "Fantastic! Nigel Mansell is out of the race" or something like that.
