Polish commentators speculate Miller will be told to let Bagnaia pass.
Australians speculating Miller would tell them to Bog Off.
It will be interesting to see in the (unlikely) case where Fabio wins the title by say 3 points what might be said about the Ducati non instigation of team orders. Miller not giving way to Bags today cost Bags 4 points.
Bags could have left Thailand today leading the title chase

I assume @Everso Biggyballies doesn't get lost in any clock changes this time
I was just happened to be looking at the TV guide.....noticed they have already started showing all the programmes you could imagine, from a 5 part special on Mick Doohan, specials on (Wayne) Gardner, Miller Stoner etc etc. But I had until then forgotten it was this weekend.
Im meant to be going out for the day on Sunday. I might have to cancel I think.
The weather forecast in Melbourne and PI isnt too flash the next few days with rain every day including Friday.
Sat Sun is quite cool down at PI about 14C and cloudy

A bit more on this weekends Australian GP at Phillip Island.....
Well-known as a favourite amongst riders, the fast-flowing Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit once again set the stage for a thrilling weekend after a couple of years absence.
Had to laugh at what I just saw on the News..... Jack Miller and Remy Gardner were doing a promo in the city CBD today which involved big smoky burnouts..... they set all the smoke alarms in the area off with some big buildings evacuated before the 'fire' source was realised to be harmless!

Finding the track might be more the problem. I got my waders ready.
Parts of the PI Circuit have been flooded just a day before the GP gets underway.
Heavy rain fell at the circuit on Thursday as teams set up ahead of the first Australian bike Grand Prix since 2019.
A significant amount of standing water has gathered in areas of the race track, including Stoner Corner.
They are still talking of rainfall tomorrow at PI, but apparently they are still saying Saturday and Sunday will be clear of rain.

For a country associated with drought and desert you sure have a lot of floodings It's not like Phillip Island is located in the middle of the Pacific either

Dry soil doesn't drain water - it kind of sits on top of it. Long periods of dry weather almost seals the ground.

Amazingly today the track is dry as a bone. Sun is shining despite the forecast and the weather we have had. Actually just noticed a couple of damp areas where the water would normally run across the track but it wont really affect the bikes. But I daresay get onto the grass and it will be a different story.....
The times for P1 in MotoGP were 1:30's.... Zarco topped the session with a !:30.368 ahead of Miller, while Alex Marquez jumped to third right at the end. Rins, Aleix Espargaro, Enea Bastianini, Marc Marquez, Francesco Bagnaia, and Fabio Di Giannantonio rounded out the top 10.
We did have a wallaby run across the track though, just to let you know we are back in Aus.

Just started raining here near the city and the weather radar looks like it is in the PI area as well. P2 might not be so dry though it looks like it will be intermittent rain not continuous.
Oh and congrats to Jack Miller who managed to squeeze his wedding in between the last race and now.

Johann Zarco led the P2 for MotoGP at PI with a late flying lap.
Zarco who also topped Practice 1, set the fastest time of 1:29.475s just before the chequered flag, pipping Marco Bezzecchi. Third was Pol Espargaro,.... Quartararo, and Vinales rounded out the top five.
Marquez.was sixth Aleix Espargaro was seventh with Bagnaia only eighth with a 1m29.838s at the chequered flag. The top 10 was completed by Bastianini and Pramac’s Jorge Martin
Joan Mir was back on the Suzuki after his long layoff with injuries and set.12th fastest.
Practice 3 for MotoGP begins at 09:55 local time/AEDT on Saturday.

Jack Miller has stated that he won’t stand aside for his team-mate (Bagnaia) if he is in contention for victory. He has made it very clear that he would prioritise his home race glory rather than bolstering team-mate Bagnaia’s chances at PI
“At the end of the day these guys have a battle between themselves,” said Miller.
“I’ll try not to do anything silly in there but it’s every rider’s dream to win their home Grand Prix.
“It feels awesome to be back here on a factory bike and yeah, if we can try to challenge for the win (or podium) on Sunday, there’s no doubt I’ll be going for it.”

With Zarco dominating Friday practice I was a bit surprised to see him fail to autoqualify for Q2 but he didnt.
In P3 MM93 blitzed the field.... he laid down a commanding 1:28.462s to end the session quickest ahead of Marini and Martin.
Aleix Espargaro and Bezzecchi completed the top five, with Miller sixth.
Quartararo was at risk of missing a berth in Q2, though scraped in with the 10th quickest time, four-tenths off the pace.
Not getting through and having to do the Q1 thing were the likes of Zarco Mir Rins Oliveira and Bastianini.
MM then turned round and said he was happy to forego winning races this year if it helps Honda develop next years bikes by trying new (2023) ideas this year to give them a more solid direction.
Nothing to do with racing but I saw that the hairpin corner (Turn 4) that used to be known as the Honda Hairpin has now been renamed Miller Corner. A bit odd to me..... I thought corners and track sections were named after Champions. So Jack joins the likes of Mick Doohan, Wayne Gardner, and Casey Stoner, who all have sections of the circuit in their name. Maybe Honda didnt send PI a cheque this year.

In Q1 as the chequered flag flew it was Pol Espargaro and Mir at the top...... for a few seconds..... with Zarco and Rins taking the top places with late laps. Bastianini almost made it through but ended up first of the non Q2 qualifiers.
