Crikey, SVG couldnt go faster than Feeney in the shootout
With three to go Davo has provisional pole from Feeney and SVG, but Mostert is on track now. He goes P4
ADP is fastest after S2 and he goes top with a 1:19.3823s
Just Waters to run.... he aa tiny bit down on ADP at S2 but a mistake on the last corner puts him 6th.
So ADP takes his 4th pole of the year.with Davo alongside for a DJR front row lockout.
Just discovered SVG almost did not get to run.... he broke the pit lane speed limit in qualy. Officials delayed the start of the Shootout as they deliberated over whether SVG would be allowed to take part in the session. Apparently he hit the limiter button and was at 40 kph coming in but accidentally knocked the limiter switching it off and he crept to 46kph before he realised.
“The Stewards are comfortable that Shane did everything he could to catch it and act correctly,” Burgess added.
“We don’t feel it’s correct disqualifying him from the top 10 on that basis
“We needed to do it correctly, we needed to get the 11th person ready in case they were going to be in the 10.
“Took a bit of time, sorry for the delay … He will get told off afterwards.”.
Yet it was right to not allow Randle to run yesterday for missing his deadline by seconds after a crash repair. Will Brown got a penalty in yesterdays race for a similar breach
