Meanwhile the word around the campfire is that Linus Lundqvist may have to cut his season short due to a lack of sponsorship money. But nothing I've seen from any of the major news outlets thus far.

A little bit of nice Lights news:
Longtime Road to Indy team Cape Motorsports has announced that it has purchased two new Dallara IL-15 chassis with plans to contest the 2023 Indy Lights season.

Lundqvist still in command of the Lights championship.

Brit Louis Foster has a small lead in the Indy Pro 2000 title.

And Myles Rowe has a very slender lead in USF2000 ahead of Michael d'Orlando and Jace Denmark.

Doesn't need a huge field (as nice as that would be). But 16 would be healthy, and a couple extra cars with this mob would basically get us there.

Would be nice if some more of the Indycar teams had entries though.

Tim Crawford, father of young American driver Jak Crawford who competes in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, has postponed his plans to assemble a new Indy Lights team for the 2023 season. Along with searching for Indy Lights equipment to buy, the Texas-based businessman has been active within the NTT IndyCar Series paddock in recent months in search of connection that would create a Road to Indy bridge for its drivers.

Looks like a great race though.

Also... McElrea... Born in US to NZ parents ... Apparently lives on the Gold Coast in Australia? Wikipedia lists him as Kiwi - telecast calls him Australian. If he keeps winning I think I know the answer :P.

But after being nowhere in the first two rounds, he's popped up in second in the standings now.

Lundqvist still has a clear lead though with five races to go. But if he gets a DNF and McElrea, the People's Sting Ray (Robb) or Brabham win, then it's a different story.
