It's not all that bad, really. The first two-thirds of the lap are a bunch of straights between two roundabouts and a hairpin. Nothing amazing, but I suppose it caters towards today's DRS-based F1.
The final sector is bloody quick and with not much room for error - going to be pretty spectacular seeing the drivers go through there.
Update patch hit today, which fixed a fair few little bugs and also updated the liveries for certain cars. My McLaren has a rather nice dash of colour now!
On a related note, this is the first time I have driven Paul Ricard and I am split on it. It's a decent circuit, with some very challenging and quick corners. I do wish they'd sort out the bloody scenery, though. Given how technologically advanced F1 is and how it prides itself on being incredibly logistically sound, you'd imagine that for the weekend of the French GP they could whip out a few tins of paint and make the track more apparent from the 1,460 different layouts it has criss-crossing itself.

The game still looks too 'clean' to me. Real life involves filth and haze and bumps
The board equivalent of the Jody scheckter chicane. Fast but pointless
Now I have my wheel I've started to drive without ABS, without traction control, but with gears. I'll move onto the gears once I've got the actual car under control.

If you're turning off TC, you'll probably be better off with manual shifting I imagine just so you can short-shift. I don't know how the auto tranny is in F1 2020 but in most games, it waits until you're at the max rev range before upshifting, which is hell with TC off.
Yes, it's much better with the wheel, and the same is true for Gran Turismo as well.
I'm trying to get into the 1:06 range at Austria in the 2004 Ferrari. Currently 1:07.450, but losing 0.5 of a second out of Turn 3 as I simply cannot put the power down.

I've been mounting it on my table. Right now the G29 is on Amazon for £159.99 with Prime free delivery. £55 cheaper than I paid a couple of weeks ago.
