What games do you think provide the best AI?

F1 2019?

NR2003 if tuned correctly.
I am very sorry if you find my posts long and boring, I like to type and often go off on a tangent.

I'd say RaceRoom (Free game, check Steam!). Comparing to every other sim-like racing game. I'd put Project Cars 2 in second, if you turn aggression down (105 strenght/85 aggression).

How is the AI in Gran Turismo 6?

GPL's AI is probably better than Assetto Corsa's.

NR2003, on the basis that the things you can change are very advanced, and do it fairly easily. Just don’t touch the ai line modifier!

I think Project Cars 2 are awesome under certain conditions. With tin-tops especially and the AI aggressiveness cranked up to 11, it will go for it if you leave the door open and will defend and slam the door on you.

Apparently Assetto Corsa Competizione just received a very, very good AI upgrade.

They race you much better than before, but they don't really race each other much still.

The AI in F1 2020 is markedly improved from previous iterations, I must say. You can still pass half the field with a Ricciardo-esque dive down the inside of Turn 1 on the first lap as everyone just sticks to the outside and middle lanes but in individual battles, they race you in a human-like way.

I'd agree on this one. Wayyyy too cautious into turn 1, where i'd love to see a much more aggressive opening lap. After that though, they make errors, they race you hard, they'll be right on your ass for lap after lap, with only a well timed block keeping them at bay.

Yep, they touch your rear wheels and spin you off in a very Grosjean or Magnussen type fashion. Maybe they'll reduce this in 2021 :haha:

The F1 2020 AI is indeed good fun. Sometimes very good and hard racing if you get the right AI strenght. I'm only on my second season now so still searching a bit.
I am wondering if the AI crashes sometimes on their own?
Only had it once when I had to lift a bit on top of Radillon in the rain and Vettel spun out trying to swerve to my inside.

@ Antonov is NH5 worth it? From a sim point of view (no controllers for racing!).
Been thinking about it as I read there won't be a NASCAR game on PS4 in 2021.
Still €45 in the store...

What AI are you on in F1 20220 @Mister B ?

Regarding NASCAR Heat 5. For a start, do you own NASCAR Heat 4?
I understand the difference is only minimal, but there was enough reason for me to get it
(eg. possibility of custom season, a larger base of online players, etc)

I'll be honest: I had nothing but fun whenever I played.
It is obviously not hard core simulation, but I wouldn't call it Arcade either.
The only downside is it doesn't feature the Daytona road course, and unfortunately there is nothing which points to an imminent release of it.

Additional questions:
- do you play with a controller or a wheel?
- where are you based? (country)
