Now Yeley has been moved to the #53 per entry list, no #54 but David Ragan will run #36 under Rick Ware but with all the looks of front row. #51 is now under “Petty Ware Racing”. Only 43 cars entered, 11 less then the 54 entered 10 years ago.

Justin Haley’s #16 FOE Chevrolet, This is Haley’s first Daytona 500 attempt as well as Kaulig Racing’s first, Using a near identical paint scheme just a different number to his win after bad weather last year in the July Daytona race, Can he pull off another upset? He will need to make the field on time/through the duels as he is driving for a non chartered team.

Yep, for a race that’s meant to have “the best drivers” that was shocking

There weren't enough ARCA-type shenanigans in last night's ARCA race, so the Cup guys decided to make up for it today.

Safe to say the #6 will be vacant while Newman heals and rests up. Wonder who they'll tab for Vegas and beyond.

Probably Matt Crafton as usual. He seems to be 'the' go-to guy whenever a Cup team needs a temporary sub.
However, if Newman's injuries are career-ending, they could go with Austin Cindric?

The entry list for Vegas has been released. 38 cars expected to start.
Also, Rick Ware STILL can't doesn't know how to keep one driver in the same car, with Garrett Smithley in the 51, JJ Yeley in the 52, and Joey Gase in the 53.

Doesn't look like David Ragan will be filling in per this tweet.
I hope Garrett Smithley doesn't have a run in with the leaders as he did last time at Las Vegas, Hopefully his car is a bit faster this time around, The #53 was the #36 last week, and it looks like Richard Petty has bought into the #51 now as it's once again listed as Petty Ware racing.

ol Chastain will be in the 6 ride for probably just a few weeks. The way Ryan is looking, he could be back in time for Atlanta!

That still leaves 7 races without sponsors, including this weekends race, although the early season race at California hasn't had a sponsor since 2002.
