Drivers okay.

I've no idea how he didn't see him. Must've had tunnel vision.
If anything, he turned into him!

I feel like it just didn't register that the car was actually stopped.

Yeah. Or he was looking so incredibly far ahead he didn't even see the car. Weird situation regardless, and glad that everyone's okay.

He cant even blame it on being unsighted by a halo device.

The driver who ploughed into Tictum was disqualified from the race and barred from further competition, even though he couldn't because his car was destroyed. And now the FIA is assessing whether he is F3 standard or not...

That's a rather short discussion, I hope.

Austria GP3 Race 2 - Top 3 crash into T1 on lap 1. Quite funny.

A balltearer. Markelov passing 4 cars on the last lap was pretty special, late tyre change assisted or not. Very impressed by George Russell these days.... moreso than Norris tbh.
Russell is right on it again today at the start.
Quoted this into here from the F1 thread as it was a bit off topic there.

Great result for Russell again, finishing 2nd today from 8th on the reverse grid start. Markelov won from pole but Norris finished out of the points after running midfield and going off on the last lap. Think Russell may have taken over the championship lead now thanks to his 1-2 weekend here.

F2 race 1 just started. A rolling start (caused y the ongoing engine stalling problem) sees poleman Russell taking the lead. Norris down in 6th.

Russell stretching his lead to over 2.5 secs after 6 of 29 laps.
Russell takes his compulsory pit dtop and a tyre change problem drops him back to nett 2nd.

It gets worse for Russell... a 5 second penalty for a pit lane infringement. (Speeding)

Albon wins Silverstone F2 race 1 from Russell who also got fastest lap bonus points. Norris finished 10th so Russell extends his championship lead by a good number. (156 - 123. Albon 3rd on 114)

Russell and Norris are the standouts of the F2 class of 2018.

Im less impressed with Norris these days than I was a couple of years ago, but Russell impresses me greatly.
