Lead change as Medieke passes Lynton, but straightaway peels into the pits. Odd as they stopped during the last SC a few minutes ago, so maybe a strategic stop. Im sure there is a reason

#81 with their second puncture in 90 minutes of racing.

Tyler Mecklem just crashed heavily up the top, he was 2nd overall.

Great pass round the outside at the Chase by Crick in the #118 passing #1 Ojeda for the race lead.

Davison 3rd and Randle 4th all 4 in BMWs. Into the last two hours of the race now.

SC deployed for a little Mazda stopped on Conrod. looks like it found an outside wall at the Elbow.


Some different strategies in play with Ojeda stopping but others not. 1hr 40 left.... Its too early to stop now and get to the race end, so now Crick leads from Davo and Randle. I think 1 hr 15 is the maximum fuel stint.

Oh just seen the. #118 Crick (leader) has been given a 15 second penalty which is race defining. Seems to be confusion of what its for so waiting clarification on that.

(The penalty in my understanding cannot be taken under an SC stop and must be served in a green flag stop.)

Crick has got the eyes in and pushing superhard given he has to try and open at least a 15 second gap. He has now completed his minimum compulsory stops which have to be 90 seconds so can stop for less than the 90 seconds minimum. But he will still need to take some fuel as well.
Doable but difficult. He bdly doesnt nee another SC for others to benefit from when he has to still do a green flag stop for his penalty.

Oh shit, yet another class leading Mustang has crashed hard. It's the #7 with the Quinns and Grant Denyer.

Ryder Quinn was driving. He's OK thankfully, that was a massive head on hit.

Crick makes his final stop under green but he lost a lot of time on the last lap.... maybe running out of fuel. Davo now leads outright before the stops.

In the classes Ryder Quinn has just got into the class leading Mustang and put it hard into the wall. That looks end of day for the class win. We have an SC.

Davo leading outright still needs to take a 90 second compulsory stop The 1 is back in the lane for new tyres and a fuel fill so can go for the end. Ojeda shows 30seconds behind Davo but under SC will get much of that back albeit. wont have track position. Have to see how it is on the restart, but we may have a race on our hands.

Now into the last hour. Im a bit confused until the restart where it all stands on the road. Ojeda has now served his penalty under green, and, as I believe, the leaders have all now fuelled to the end.

As it shows the outright leader is Davo, from Ojeda Randle Everingham, then a big time gap to Hayek and Crick.
Crick looks at best in a challenging position and no longer up for the win.

Ooof.... they just showed a replay of the Ryder Quinn crash, and he went in almost head on before bouncing off and across the track.

Still under the SC with 50 minutes to go.

It seems the #118 Crick car lost its time because it went into limp mode and is still in limp mode so looks like its day is done.

We have a restart

Ojeda in the #1 car currently 2nd is trying to become the first back to back winner in this format of the race. Davo has never won but the Berwick Lynton car he is driving won the race in 2019.


OOOOPS!. Right after the restart and now 4th placed #24 Everingham has stopped on track and we have another SC. Also another couple of cars now stopped.

The #118 car of Crick is back in pit lane, now with the bonnet up, so still troubles for the car that was leading. Suggest they are done, certainly in the outright result.

Seems the Everingham car has had a total electrical outage.... no radio or anything. Its on. the truck now returning to pitlane.

Down to #23 Davo, #1 Ojeda or #92 Randle for the win, all nose to tail for the restart which wont be long.

In fatc 35 minutes to go and we have a green.

Commentators are talking up Randle in 3rd who they reckon has the quickest car.

Who has the best tyres? Davo and Ojeda are nose to til, Randle a second back after the first lap of the restart.

My money is on Ojeda FTW unless he bins it. I have never really rated Ojeda but he has been impressive today. I have to reset my thoughts.
