Bottom post of the previous page:

Thank you

One thing I'd read was that Rob Austin was attempting to get Colin Turkington into his Audi for 2012. Oh I so wish that could happen.

Turkington has not appeared in any of Flash Engineering's plans for this year, so I suppose he is a free agent now.

Cue "Turkington to V8SC Rumours" :sly: :suspicious:

Generally I dont approve of events like the Gold Coast 'International', where the teams have to use 2 drivers per car, one of whom is a visiting 'International star', but I would be happy for 'Turks' to be one such invitee.

Unfortunately the rumour is all of my imagination / hope. :(

Turks back in the BTCC would be great, but I agree its unlikely to happen.

The number and variety of cars in the BTCC is better than ever, just a shame it lacks the top stars nowadays.

From behind you can confuse the Insignia with a large 4x4. It isn't a pretty car at all.

I think it looks great.

I think the car looks great...... In black, or in the Batman livery. However Green does not do it justice and brings the overall look down to 'not if I owned it'. So I agree, in the dodgy green livery it looks 'well ordinaire.'

Its a potentially great looking car. Thorney posted a number of potential liveries with fantasy sponsors on Facebook and they looked very good. The current livery is pretty poor though.

There are quite a few looks I dont like in that lot, but that MG is frightful. I can only hope that the guy who came up with that design is now out of work.

I do like the Proton Persona for some strange reason. And the blue Honda looks very tasty compared to the White (works?) Hondas. Neale's car anyway.

There are certainly a few designs and liveries there that officially dont work for me in the slightest, but some that do.

The Pirtek Civic is a real stand-out livery, I love it. The MG I think is an ok looking car, but I echo the sentiments of others, its livery its a mess.

I'm also liking the RAR Audi, WSR BMW and Motorbase Ford colours.

First part of the season will be wide open but I expect the Honda's to come to be way ahead by the end of the season. Not expecting much from MG this year, although Plato will drive his socks off.

The MG is quite a pretty car, smooth lines and nice flowing bodywork. No real sharp lines and edges. The livery is such a let down. But then again, 888 have a reputation for bad busy liveries:

Some pretty good looking cars there. The new shape Civics look great. That MG, on the other hand...

This is not directly BTCC related but since this also includes supports, I read that the Formula Renault series has been axed due to low number of entries. Any ideas on whether that will be replaced with something in time for this season?
