The 2011 Sprint Cup Series schedule is shaking up. Among the confirmed changes:
- Kentucky Speedway will host it's first ever Cup Series event. The 400-mile night race will be held on July 9th.
- Auto Club (California) Speedway will host only one race. The speedway will lose it's fall date, held during the Chase. The lone race will be held on March 27th.
- Atlanta Motor Speedway will host only one race. The speedway will lose it's spring date, replaced by Auto Club Speedway. The lone race will be held on September 9th.
- Phoenix International Raceway's spring race will be moved to February 27th, one week after the Daytona 500. The date was formerly held by Auto Club Speedway.
- Chicagoland Speedway will move it's lone race to September 18th. It will replace New Hampshire as the first race in the Chase For The Cup.
The official schedule is expected to be released on August 18th.
