sandown is a cool track and I especially like this GPL version. What a blast!

It is a great track....even better in 'real' life. I have a pic of my car at Dandenong Rd Corner (thats the sharpish lefthander at the end of the back straight and the kinks, ) in the Hstoric Touring car race right up on 2 wheels on a qualy lap.

If anyone saw the Sandown 500 V8 'Supercars' race a few years ago it is the corner where it was pissing with rain and that turned to sleet, and the front spoilers were literally like snowploughs behind the safety car.

Sandown is also the venue of the 'race' (it was supposed to be a demonstration, but it seems they forgot to tell these two) in 1978 between Fangio in his Mercedes and Sir Jack Brabham in his Repco Brabham. Actually the truth is Fangio refused to come to Australia if it was to be a demo, he would only come to race! . I am sure you have all seen the clip.....
