Picks & Mix Game 2024 Round 3 Australia + [RESULTS]
Now we are moving down under to Australia for the next round of our game. We will be back to the usual race format, FP1 and FP2 on Friday, qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday. Picks need to be in before the start of FP1 which will be 12.30pm local time or 1.30am (GMT) UK time on Friday. So essentially for most of us that means we'll need to get them in before the end of Thursday I guess.
Here are your usual five main picks
Who will start the race from 13th place on the grid? Guess correctly and you score 10 points, if your pick starts in either 12th or 14th, you score 5 points.
Who will be the last driver on the starting grid? (pit lane starts don't count) 10 points for the correct driver.
Which driver will get the fastest lap? 10 points for the correct driver.
Who will be the first pointless driver? In other words, who will finish the race in 11th place? 10 points for the correct driver, 5 points if your driver finishes 10th or 12th.
How many cars will DNF? 10 points if you are correct.
Bonus Pick
In the race how will both Piastri and Ricciardo finish compared to their teammates?
Piastri compared to Norris: Ahead, Behind or DNF?
Ricciardo compared to Tsunoda: Ahead, Behind or DNF?
10 points per driver if you are correct with a bonus of an extra 10 points if you get both correct, making 30 in total.
Copy and Paste for your answers if it helps
1. (start 13th)
2. (last starter)
3. (fastest lap)
4. (finish 11th)
5. (No. of DNFs)
Bonus
(Piastri, ahead, behind or DNF)
(Ricciardo, ahead, behind or DNF)
Good luck to you all may the best person win.

If Albon takes Sargeant's car and Sargeant does not start the race will it count as a DNF?

Oh, great question! I need to think about this one......
Okay, got it.
If he doesn't start the race he can't be a DNF, so I'll have to say no to that one.
I hope that makes sense.

I would think he will be classified as a race DNS officially, so no to a DNF. But I will leave it to @Star to say officially. Its her game.

Here we are then, the results for the third round of Picks & Mix 2024.
There was a lot of movement up and down the overall table, that is to be expected this early in the season though. So this is how it all shook out, it wasn't a high scoring round that's for sure.
13th on the grid: was our adpoted Aussie Bottas along with 12th Albon and 14th Magnussen. Only Everso Biggyballies and myself chose Albon for 5 points each. The rest of you scored diddly squat I'm afraid.
Last starter: Ricciardo, though it should have been well done to Monte Cristo and P. Cornelius Scipio for scoring there with Zhou, only his pit lane start lost them the points, sorry guys.
Fastest Lap: Leclerc took that again so P.Cornelius Scipio and I scored points on that one.
Driver finishing 11th: Albon with 10th Magnussen and 12th Ricciardo. Picci picked Albon and scored 10 points, P. Cornelius Scipio picked Ricciardo and scored 5, the rest of got nothing.
DNFs: 3 Monte Cristo and Everso Biggyballies were the only ones to score here.
Bonus: Oscar Piastri finished behind Norris and Daniel Ricciardo finished behind Tsunoda, Matt and Vassago predicted both and scored the maximum 30 points for this, everyone else apart from me got one right and scored 10.
The scores for this race are as follows:
1st Matt 30
= Vassago 30
3rd Everso Biggyballies 25
= P. Cornelius Scipio 25
5th Picci 20
= Monte Cristo 20
7th Star 15
8th Ruslan 10
Overall it now looks like this:
1st Picci 85 (stays the same)
= Matt 85 (up 1 place)
3rd Star 65 (stays the same)
4th Monte Cristo 60 (stays the same)
5th Everso Biggyballies 55 (stays the same)
6th P. Cornelius Scipio 50 (stays the same)
7th Vassago 40 (stays the same)
8th Ruslan 20 (stays the same)
Congratulations to @Vassago and @Matt for wininng this round, very well done to them.
Congratulations to @Matt and @Picci as they lead the overall table, for now It's up to the rest of us to catch and overtake them.
I hope you are all satisfied with your scores, please feel free to check them in case I made any mistakes.
The thread for the next race in Japan will be up next weekend so please look out for that. It will of course also be Easter weekend so bribes of large chocolate Easter Eggs (Lindor is my favourite) will of course be accepted and taken into account for the results of the next race
Thanks as always for playing, I hope you are all enjoying it
