Bottom post of the previous page:

Lol, they did not even make it over the S/F line to restart this time before wrecking. Back to yellow again.

Not sure why all the fans are booing Hamlin, Blaney was the one who wrecked Newman.

Really disgusting driving at the end there. I'm hoping Newman isn't hurt.

They heard nothing on the radio, per twitter he flipped and then Corey LaJoie hit him in the roof, it doesn’t sound good at all. They just said on TV he’s being taken directly to the hospital

Ryan Blaney is almost in tears, Buescher is Newman’s teammate ran third. David Ragan in a part time run finishes fourth, Harvick ran 5th and Bowyer who spun late finishes 6th and Brendan Gaughan in his final Daytona 500 finishes 7th.

Jeff Gordon is almost in tears on the broadcast. Corey LaJoie the other driver involved is ok and has been released from the infield care center.

Newman is also really tall (over 6 foot) and last time he flipped one of these they had trouble getting him out because there was so little space between him and the rollbar so that hit in the roof is a lot worse for him without it even being the way it was.

Now fox have shuttled off air so quick I'm gonna have to rely on the cesspool of Twitter for updates, urgh.

The last time the race ended on my wife's birthday was 2001, she ain't gonna have a nice birthday tomorrow if I have to tell her her favourite driver is err, well, you know :(
I am very sorry if you find my posts long and boring, I like to type and often go off on a tangent.

As coverage has been cut, perhaps this is the easiest way to keep updated.

Let's keep our fingers crossed for Newman. There were black screens up around the car and a stretcher on the track, but they were taking time.

These things aren’t lining up good, Trump last attended the 500 in 2001, and we know what happened then.. :sorrow:
