I hope this isn't in the wrong place, I struggled to think where best to get exposure as some of the Track Buff's might now be frequent Lounge visitors. I will now fail in attempting to justify why this thread is here! In 2010 I am going to be building a permanent Scalextric setup complete with all of the pits, grandstands, all of that jazz.
The majority of my cars are Formula1 and Touring Cars from the 80-94 era and I have to be honest, I have never paid attention to the actual locations and scenery at the racetracks from this era - apart from the well known and continually developed tracks I know very little about the era.
What, in your opinions, are THE ICONIC scenes in the 80's?
This is not a thread about track design and layout, its all about infrastructure - marshall area's, pitlanes, lighting, local roads etc.
Any help is greatly appreciated, I plan to start designing my track whilst I am bed ridden in 2 weeks time!
