Lexus IS-F prototype to race in Japan
By Johan Meissner Thursday, 17 January 2008 09:45 CET
Finally some light has been shed on the Lexus IS-F prototype that was shown at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2008. We will not see the car in the Deutche Tourenwagen Masters of 2008. Instead the car is going to be raced in the GT300 class of the Japanese Super GT championship this year. According to our information this is a project for Lexus to prepare them selves for the new DTM rules that are expected to be introduced earliest 2010.
The shown prototype shown in Tokyo will make its race debut in the third round of the JSGT and then run full season.
ChampCar-driver Andrew Lotterer has driven the car during the testing sessions. Speculations have been made regarding the name Y.Yaguchi that was written on the side window of the car displayed in Tokyo. This is however a homeage the Lexus IS F Chief Engineer who's name is Yukihiko Yaguchi.

Also Daniel la Rosa won't drive for the Mercedes squad in 2008. Shame they couldn't make a deal, I rather see Daniel get into a 2008 car than Mr. Schumacher.

Second that, LaRosa deserves that seat, not Ralfie Boy.
Yeah I remember now. The GP circuit is only given a set amount of days a year to run race weekends, thanks to idiots who move into houses next to a race circuit then complain about the noise......
I hope Ralf will get a chance to show his talent, because I he is underrated by most of the fans. OK most F1 drivers which drove in the DTM haven´t won very much, but every driver has his own driving style.
So Legge is moving to Audi, can't really see her shine there. I'm more looking forward to Jarvis. Rumors are that he will join the Audi squad too.
And then there's still the rumor of Ralf joining Mercedes. I'm not gonna say anything, just wait for the results. Alesi and Hakkinen both didn't really live up to their potential. Maybe Schumacher can surprise us.

If Alesi or Häkkinen didn't deliver enough, there is no way Ralf will do.
