Could be. I think a nicely turned out M5 would clean the house.

Naw, it would take the driver 3/4 of the race to figure out how the i-drive works!

It might be also because BMW are spending/wasting all their money in F1.

It would be cool to see the 3 big Germans going up againest each other. Arch!

Opel dropped out after last season, so it hasn't been a couple of years yet.

There were talks of BMW entering a few years ago, as they used the M3 GTR in ALMS and that would have been suitable for DTM with relatively minor modifications. But apparently they decided to increase their role in F1 instead. I think the main reason for BMW not being in DTM is the small market considering the amount of money that goes into designing a competitive DTM car. Which is much more compared to designing a Super 2000 spec car which can be used in WTCC and loads of national championships as well.

Well, it blows and that's that. The cars are technological wonders, yes, but the racing sucks. End of story. The modern day grand prix is to a race fan, as a bowl of apples is to a toothless man. Do ya feel me?

Race today, at Oschersleben.
Tom Kristensen on pole ahead of Jamie Green
Häkkinen starts in 4th, Frentzen 5th and Ekström only in 9th

It doesnt look very good for me.
