NASCAR to run at Montreal (Circuit Gilles Villeneuve)

Should be pretty interesting to see them running round there. Apparently, the circuit is only allowed to hold two events a year. I assume that means race weekends. So, one weekend would be reserved for Formula 1 and the other would be reserved for NASCAR. If Indy Cars run there again, they'd have to do it the same weekend as the NASCAR race. A Grand-Am race would be run on the Friday, as well. I'd expect it to be a good weekend for racing fans who visit the circuit every year.

This is really pretty old news, but what great news it is. :) I can't wait to see how it turns out. Somehow, the thought of 43 stockers arriving at that hairpin makes me grin like nothing else. Champion's Wall will scale new heights. :haha:

Oh yeah, read it on tuesday on Autosprint, forgot to report it here. Villeneuve signed for Roush to drive a Fusion and then the Montreal circuit manager got rid of Champ car contract to make room for NASCAR

Autosport reported yesterday that Villeneuve hasn't signed for anyone yet.

Villeneuve's PR manager Yan Lefort told autosport.com: "I know Jacques is talking to people in America but nothing is signed."
