I thought the number moved to the front would look worse, it's OK for me - obviously the decision was made to further enhance the sponsorship space with NASCAR not doing as great as in the past. It's still better than what they did with WRC or DTM where the big windshield number is simply hideous.

Results from Day 1 of Charlotte testing, teams are swapping around their drivers a bit hence some odd driver number pairings.

Austin Dillon crashed early in the day, his car was repaired for tomorrow, while Timmy Hill reportedly had "setup problems" hence his low laps number.

The 2021-22 state budget for North Carolina has officially passed. It includes an allocation of $40 million to major motorsports venues across the state: $18 million to North Wilkesboro Speedway, $13 million to Charlotte Motor Speedway, and $9 million to Rockingham Speedway.

SMI, for their part, is going all in on getting North Wilkesboro reopened, with a track website and merchandise:
