Bottom post of the previous page:

4 o'clock (eastern USA) report that Ryan was "awake and talking to family and doctors". Nothing about his injury(ies?) however. 'Still good news.

(reported on two different NASCAR shows on NBCSN and Fox Sports Network)
Those were the days my friends, we thought they'd never end.....

So thankful to hear he’s awake and talking, hopefully we learn about his injuries in the next few days. The #6 team is entered to Las Vegas this Sunday, driver still TBA. Blaney and LaJoie are also both entered. My picks to fill in would be either Chase Briscoe, Austin Cindric or Ross Chastain.

I wonder if they'll drag Matt Kenseth back out of retirement again, it is his home race iirc.

Kenseth is from Wisconsin, a long way from Las Vegas. Not sure what he's even up to these days, hasn't used social media in about 6 months.

Duh, who is it that's from Vegas then that retired recently?

Didn't he come back for a couple races in the six last year, or am I really getting old?

Amazing. I must confess that when I read he was alert and talking my thoughts were well that’s the good news and the next update will be a list of injuries maybe even spinal or neck. Very happy to see him walking and seemingly nothing too serious. I think he has been very fortunate given the nature and speed of the impacts

At the risk of sounding morbid, my first thoughts seeing it live were "Best case scenario, he'll have to go through a lengthy rehab with no guarantee of even returning to racing, ala Robert Wickens"

This by comparison is a God-given miracle.

Move over, Chuck Norris.
