Bottom post of the previous page:

No, it's just just a 1.333-mile track with 18-degree banking and drives very much like a narrow version of your standard 1.5-mile cookie cutters.

I guess they put the super speedway in the name just to give them a clear identity separate from the much-more famous and much-more beloved Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, which is a short track.

Speaking about streaks, if nobody runs the #88 in next years Daytona 500, it will be the first time since the 1995 AC-Delco 500 that #88 has not featured in a race.

Truex's 20 point spoiler penalty could come back to bite him if he finishes 20 points or less outside the cutoff

Kevin Harvick won 9 races this season and misses the championship 4 because he has one bad race, this is why I hate this current system. He tried to wreck Kyle Busch coming to the finish to get the 1 point he needed but wrecked himself in the process.

Championship 4 might not be set yet, NASCAR are apparently investigating after allegations were made that Erik Jones was instructed not to pass Denny Hamlin late in the race, preserving his points. If found to be true then Hamlin may be penalised.

Harvick, he was 1 point out I believe, might be a few more though after wrecking himself.

That's exactly what was the motive behind this system; drama and unexpected twists. Sporting integrity and fairness was never the objective. The major bulk of the season is just a contest of keeping yourself in contention for one or two critical races like this. Personally, I much preferred the old system where most points = champion. It was simple, more importantly fair, and every race was equally important, as it should be.

Stewart won the title in 2011 by not winning a race before the Chase. There he won 5 out of 10 races.
