Is 2020 the last year with the "current" schedule agreement? I know Pocono got shafted of one of their races. Any rumors flying around regarding new circuits for 2021 onwards?

I'd love to see them add a dirt race and a race at Bowman Gray stadium.

I'm not sure but it doesn't really matter I think. The bulk of the 'boring' tracks (read, the intermediate tracks) are owned by SMI and ISC and I don't see them growing a big heart and dumping those tracks to replace them with better tracks (read short tracks or road courses) UNLESS they buy some new tracks of that type.

It's why they've been so fervently trying to improve the racing on the aero tracks. The latest package (high downforce and low power) keeps them in a pack longer and leads to more wrecks, which I guess NASCAR management feel is the right way to go.

Daniel Hemric will be released from Richard Childress Racing following the 2019 season. Tyler Reddick will drive the 8 car full time. No driver announced for the part-time 31 yet.

2020 appears to be a "transition year" with the fairly significant date swaps in preparation for 2021.

As for new tracks, Gateway has been mentioned as a strong candidate due to this year's impressive IndyCar crowds.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Iowa get a race, given Xfinity comes twice and Indy does as well.

Leaked images appear to show Spire Motorsports will partner with Ganassi and Advent Health again for the Daytona 500, but they will keep the same number.

MBM Motorsports had made an impromptu number change to their 2nd team, Chad Finchum will be in the 49 rather than the 46.

This possibly sets James Davison up to drive the 46, especially since he has run Days of Thunder paint schemes in the past.

NASCAR have made significant changes to short track and road course cars, with rear spoilers height shrunk from 8 inches to 2.75 inches, and front splitter overhang will now measure a quarter-inch, down from 2 inches, with approximately 2-inch wings, reduced from 10.5 inches. Along with lower downforce.

In other news, not cup related, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will run his once a year Xfinity series race at Homestead-Miami.

Looks like Robby Lyons has began working with Premium Motorsports. Expect him in the 27 for a few races.
