Bottom post of the previous page:

Not surprised, saw it live, winced just a tad when he hit the wall.

Where he hit the wall, there was no safer barrier. That one ends just before the point of impact.

It's been a long while since the last caution, 5 to go and still green. Waiting for a debris yellow to come out.

EDIT: Unfortunately not, Logano wins! He led well over 200 laps.

Yes, Logano won... Somehow he lacks this "like-able" factor.

Watching the SC race now. Not much happening. Kenseth dominating atm. Bowyer had a hard hit. Getting loose at the exit of T4 and over corrects into the wall. Luckily for him he hits the wall where there is still a SAFER barrier.

I think this post from last week sums up today's race well again, right?

Nobody likes him, not even people in his own team (allegedly), but he gets then job done and that's what Shell and Roger likes.

Well yes, not like Kenseth didn't deserve it the way he was blocking.

Must admit I 'switched off' when my dad went on a rant about Logano doing that this morning, he was like 'why was he driving like that he's already qualified' I was like 'well he's there to win not make up the numbers', he then started on the whole chase setup 'why does jimmy turn up and race each week, what's the point?'.

I was like well he get's paid £30mil to turn up and race, for that money I'd do it fucking naked if they wanted.

My dad still see's racing as a sport, shame it stopped being that 30 years ago.

Completely agree Ian. It is part of the contradicting way we view parts of this "sport". Despite liking him the least of any driver in Sprint Cup, I'd like to see Logano win the next race as well. That way he'll have won each of the Contender 12 races and by doing so making an even bigger mockery of NASCAR's grandiose wins = progression than Ryan Newman did in 2014.

I'd like to see him win every race up to Phoenix, then crash in Homestead taking out everybody but Newman (or anybody else who hasn't won a race) leaving Mr Consistent to win the championship without having won a race.

Easy explaining that one to the Twitter generation eh Brian?

Well didn't Dave Louden win the inaugural Rover Turbo cup in 1994 without winning a race? But that ignores the fact that he scored the most points across the entire season when people didn't mind consistency or the matter that a title was over the course of an entire season.

Look at Keke Rosbergs WDC title in 1982. Won one race at Dyon (Swiss GP). Scored a "massive" 44 points which were 5 points more than Pironi who was unable to start in the last 5 GP's.

When Kenseth won the Cup title he did it with only one win from the 36 races, and he only fluked into the Las Vegas win cos whoever was in front of him ran out of fuel at the end.

Actually, what he did back then, is the reason for the Chase we have now as France went apeshit that Kenseth could win being Mr Consistent and poor old Ryan Newman won seven times (I think) and lost, he completely ignored the fact that Newman ended up on his roof more times than Kenseth won races that year, and because simple old Brian couldn't work out consistency paid more than raw speed and wrecks, he assumed the rest of the word were as thick as him and voila, invented the Chase.
