61 laps in and Herta is out and Pags parked it in the fountain. Stunning race thus far.

Very good race from the highlights I saw.

Herta: Oh dear. I really like the kid personally, and he's a joy to watch. He's no longer doing crazy things like he was in his first season, but he really needs to dial it down. He'll be gutted. Shades of Nashville.

Ericsson with a "I think Grosjean hit me!" moment.

Johnson with one crash per day. That's something.

What happened to Scotty Mac?

Scotty clipped the wall in the final hairpin and spun while he was trying to get a run on a moving chicane which dropped him down the order. I think he was 8th or 9th before that and that was pre Herta and one or two others ahead of him crashing out.

It was Tatiana Calderon who got in the way :whistling:

Otoh, Colton Herta is truly the second coming of Michael Andretti. He's got so much raw speed but tends to throw races away on a regular basis. Adding the improved reliability compared to Mikey's days this simply won't win him the championship anytime soon IMO.

:haha: Just caught up with the highlights and saw this. Total bonehead moment by Ericsson who tried to take out his team mate at the same time.

Anyway seemed like a pretty good race. Far from the most eventful I have ever seen but I enjoyed the battle for the lead between Newgarden and Grosjean anyway. Grosjean hasn't quite managed to win yet has he?

No, but four podiums - three last year for Coyne. A good return.

It's only a matter of time then. For me he's one of the main reasons to watch Indycar.
