Big claim.
Possibly Harry Gant in September 1991.

I'd put Jim Clarks 1965 season on top of that pile.

Must confess I had to google Harry Gant....

I'm onto Phoenix. Unfortunately Mansell crashed in practice and put himself into hospital.

Now I'm 44 laps in out of 200 and Paul Tracy out in the lead has already lapped the entire field.

I guess I just hit the famous part  Tracy went into the wall and immediately after the green flag to clear that up, Fittipaldi went into the wall. What a bummer for Team Penske, they were in for an easy win.

I remember some of the races from that season. I received a VHS for Christmas in 1993, called 'Nigel Mansell's IndyCar diary'.

New Hampshire was a fantastic battle for the win, and I think Cleveland had a cracking battle between Mansell and Emmo (as well as the obligatory turn one pile up).

There was another race where Mansell was nowhere, and wrecked twice in practice. May have been Toronto.

It was debris from Tracy's accident that caused Emmo's. After that, Penske took initiative to invest in tyre pressure sensors, which is now mandatory.

@PTRACER - are you watching the actual full races?

I have a video somewhere, which follows Mansell throughout 1993.

I just watched Round 3 at Long Beach. Now that was an interesting race!

Mario retired, Mansell almost broke down (seems like he had a gearbox issue of sorts in the latter stages of the race) but still managed 3rd. A few very amateur looking incidents, including from Little Al who tried squeezing down the inside of Mansell in a place you're not meant to pass and ended up with Mansell riding over his front wheel and breaking his suspension. As a result Tracy ended up with his first win.
