Bonehead moves from Rahal are rare, shame that cost a few drivers their races. On the other hand bonehead moves by RHR are commonplace, so pretty unsurprised. Shame for Harvey and Shank. They didn’t deserve that.

I think Rahal just lost his bearings and braking points. But nine of the twelve latest races at PIR have had a L1/T1 wreck. It's like La Source at this point.

The series needs more ovals, and frankly it needs an extra race or two on the calendar. So that's a big from me, and Pocono is a great track.

Turns out Pocono was on the 2020 schedule as late as last Thursday. ABC pulling the plug combined with the OC not really pouring their hearts into the event (plus a putting on a lousy show the past couple of years) until Nascar shanked one of the Pocono races were the major contributing factors. No teams or drivers spoke against returning for 2020.

Sam Schmidt is pretty pissed off at Alfa for dragging Ericsson to Belgium just to have him sit on the sidelines. When SPM got the call from Alfa on Tuesday Kimi was definitely out for the Belgian GP.

Speaking about Ericsson, Schmidt says he's very much in the running for a 2020 seat with the team.

From what I read it wasn’t Sam Schmidt that was pissed, he said that Ericsson should be pissed at Alfa Romeo as they told him he would be replacing Kimi and wasted his time. Apparently even on Thursday last week Kimi was not driving.
