Very good race and a great win for Veekay. Splendid race from RoGro as well.

Yeah I enjoyed. I was rooting for Grosjean, but good to see a first win from VK.

Probably the worst Indycar that I can remember in the last 5 years or so. There was nothing. :wow:

Ok, really?

An hour later, what do you think was good about this race?

VeeKay literally did 8 green flag laps on blacks (pitted on lap 13). That was the way to go. Grosjean was a lot slower on blacks and the key was VeeKay's pass on Grosjean's outlap.

I have to say the race pretty much followed most of the other IGP races. It's a very boring race if we don't have frequent cautions or rain.

Rahal got a Top 5 despite trailing the pack by 10 seconds after the restart. Somehow he ended up ahead of Dixon who I believe lost track position in the first corner melee which made him switch to four-stop strategy to begin with (obviously they hoped for more cautions to make it on three stops).

Great drive by Veekay. Very surprising.

Also a great drive by Grosjean.

Poor Harvey.

(And happy that I only had a 1hr highlights show to watch. Shit track. There's only ever been a couple of decent races here.)

I fell asleep for the middle 50 laps, and woke up with six to go.

There was plenty of battling going on during the middle stint of the race even though everything sort of faded towards the end there. I enjoyed it. We've had worse races in the past few years, Long Beach 2019, Toronto 2019, Texas 2020, Gateway x2 in 2020 springs to mind.

Seems like I didnt miss much by snoozing in the middle of the race. I had set it to record anyway so I can always play catch up of. the middle bit.

Day two is done, the fastest man in Indianapolis right now is Scott Dixon with a 226.829mph lap. No 227 yet, hoping we'll see that before they crank em up for Fast Friday.

Glad to see we've gotten through both days without a single accident, not even a spin. The cars seem a hell of a lot easier to drive with the new aeroscreen.

Santino Ferrucci becomes the first real accident on Indy 500 practice. Classic Indy spin into the turn 2 wall. Driver is fine but experiencing pain in his left leg.
