Has anyone watched the first WSB race from Donington today?

What a great showing by Toprak Razgatlio especially during the 1.5 of opening laps. From 13th on grid beating the shit out of Johnny Rea. What a great display of what one could do.
In many ways it reminded me to Ralf Waldmanns 250 victory at the same location back in 2000 although the circumstances were entirely different !

World SBK has headed to a new venue in Most this weekend and what a race 1 !

A whiny world champion who declared the track not fit and crashed twice in race 1. And one of the hardest but best overtaking maneuvers of the last couple of years after which Scott Redding spoke of an unfair attempt but in reality was just the victim of an as hard as you can move.
He was right though in stating that if he had committed to this final corner attempt both would have crashed.

What a crazy race 1 and seeing Johnny Rea sitting at a marshal post spectating exactly this move because there ain't survey ways from the outside to the inside at Most. Fantastic race with an unsual high crash rate owing to not a lot having experience there.

Roll on race 2 and 3 !!!

Good to see Rea not getting it all his way this weekend. Great win for Redding who proposed to his Girlfriend on the podium. (Raz
He then sprayed her with champagne. :haha: :haha:
(Raz 2nd with Rea 3rd.)

Championship now led by Rea but only 3points from Raz 266 to 263. Redding 3rd 216.
Yamaha lead Kawasaki 283 to 280 with Ducati 3rd on 277. Close stuff.

Next stop Navarra, Spain later this month.... pretty sure its the first time they have hosted WSBK.

YEp it is, same as Most :)
Was a good race 1 at Navarra although the Yamahas came up too late to battle the Ducati / Kawasaki 1-2 finish. Looking forward to todays races. You know, a circuit must be good (in terms of challenging for the spectator) if riders moan about it :D
Similar to Schleiz past this years IDM races when a few (more succesless) riders first moaned about its bumpiness and after being cut off in this regard went on about 'prehistoric' safety standards :haha:
