MM's own fault. Happens if you try and drive through the next one.

Stupid greenery rules
I agree that they have to be there but how they are enforced seems to be odd.

Update: Oliveira’s second was reinstated after Mir was deemed to have also exceeded track limits at the same place on the last lap.

Nice to see Quartararo honouring the late Swiss rider Jason Dupasquier after the race, carrying a Swiss flag onto the podium, dedicating his win to Dupasquier. Other riders carried tributes pre race on the grid when they held ta minute silence in respect of Jason.

As nice as these minutes of silence may look to the public they are an disturbance of race preps for the riders. As sad as the occasion was, do it next time round if you have to do it at all.

Rumours of him at Ducati: https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/other/du ... d=msedgntp
I think you will find that this is not VR himself, but is his VR46 team, currently running in Moto 2 (it initially started in Moto3 and expanded to include Moto 2 before the Moto3 side was dropped) and which has indicated will make the step up to the MotoGP class next year. The rumour is that the team will become an additional Ducati satellite team alongside Pramac. ( I believe there is another team that will become a Ducati Satellite as well, meaning Ducati will be running a works team plus providing 3 satellite teams, something they have done before.).

They (VR46) have been quite successful in the lower categories, winning a number of races (plus 50+ podiums) in Moto3 and Moto2, and indeed Bagnaia won his Moto2 Championship with Team VR46. It started off as a development / junior team for young Italian talent and has had race wins with the likes of Bagnaia, Fenati, Marini, Vietti, Bezzechi and Migno

As for Rossi himself there is no decision as yet but uncertainties regarding his future as per not meeting performance clauses in his contract prior to continuing with Yamaha's satellite team as mentioned.as mentioned.

Edit: I just had a thought, indicating I might be shooting from the hip. Guilty of not having read the article before posting the above, after posting I suddenly thought what if Valentino is going to ride one of his own team bikes in MotoGP. I hadnt thought of that.

So I am off to read the article to see if that is what is being suggested or whether it is in reality confirming my belief that the VR46 team is likely to become a Ducati satellite.

Ahh, fair enough!

Might make sense for him to ride for himself though for a season in any case. Bring some sponsorship in, etc.

Certainly it would be an option for him should Yamaha choose to not renew / extend his current contract due to his lack of results this year. Of course then there is the other side of him riding for a team he set up ostensibly to nurture young up and coming Italian talent... .. he sort of doesn't quite fit that profile, having achieved heaps he is now into his forties and has to be said is past his best. Maybe best use his strengths and get his fix from being the team development / test rider would be a good option. Pass on his skills in that way, and for sure a team of inexperienced riders will need direction and benefit from help in that area.

Hell, he could even end up throwing in a wildcard race entry for himself at his beloved Mugello if he wanted an occasional race fix!

KTM confirms Binder for 3 years

KTM confirms they have re-signed their one-time MotoGP race winner Brad Binder through to the end of the 2024 season after agreeing a new three-year deal. That will mean by then (2024) he will have been associated with KTM for 10 years, right through Moto 3 Moto 2 and MotoGP.

Miguel Oliveira is expected to extend his stay with KTM, having stepped up to the factory squad this year.

However a KTM Tech3 it has come to light the automatic renewal period on Danilo Petrucci’s contract has expired and KTM did not exercise the option.....

Maximilian Kofler and Carlos Tatay won't take part in Catalan GP this weekend after their lap one crash in Mugello. Kofler has broken 4 vertebrae and Tatay has a fractured foot. Daniel Holgado & Elia Bartolini will replace them.
