Bagnaia crashes out. Also Crutchlow.
Quartaro managed to restart and with all the other DNFs is now 16th, 14 seconds behind behind Vinales in 15th.

Bagnaia crashes out. I really don't see him doing well under pressure in the works team next season. He'd make Petrucci look like a superstar.

Crutchlow also down.

Yeah, looked like he had to grab the brakes when Aleix binned it in front of him. Damn shame.

Mir takes the lead and in the positions as now he will have a 37 point lead over Rins and 38 over Quartar.

Mir to the lead. It looked like Rins let him by on purpose tbh. This might yet backfire if Mir drives away.

Mir becomes the 9th winner this year and takes his first senior win, extending his championship lead on the way. A 1-2 for Suzuki with Pol E 3rd.

A good day for Suzuki.

If Mir doesn't crash in the last two races, he's going win the title IMO.

I know you mentioned it a month or more ago..... but I think you picked him to win the title without winning a race.
It is certainly his to lose now. I think a 4th next weekend would tie it up for him, even if he did not start the last race of the season.

Dovizioso set to take MotoGP sabbatical in 2021

Outgoing Ducati MotoGP rider Andrea Dovizioso is set to take a sabbatical in 2021 and won't become a test rider.... recently it ws thought he might take over the test rider role at Yamaha currently held by JLo. He also spoke to Honda and KTM about testing roles, but now has decided he does not want a test rider role and will instead take a sabbatical from the sport.

At the time when he decided to quit Ducati for next year, he said that despite quitting. the team there was no option / plan B.
He plans to spend his sabbatical riding in Motocross and keeping fit for a return in 2022.

Yeah, I think so too. Dovizioso is basically Pedrosa 2.0, a soft-spoken good guy who doesn't crash often but just doesn't have the "it" factor for the big class. He couldn't beat out Marquez for years even when Honda struggled with acceleration out of corners and can't cut it out in a season when Marquez is out. The excuses have ended and there's a bunch of young guys who can flash some speed. The dinosaurs are going away, Dovizioso and Crutchlow are no longer needed. There's only Rossi left as pure window dressing but nobody can take him seriously as a contender anymore.
