The Bol d'Or is well into its 7th hour with SERT Suzuki leading from GMT94 by about 50 sec caused by a safety car towards the end of the sixth hour when GMT94 got cut off. Before it was a tight battle inbetween 2 seconds

Prominent breakdowns so far are the SRC Kawasaki squad, after just 17 laps, as well as YART Yamaha a couple minutes ago

Unfortunately, I was unable to watch much of it on Sunday due to a fire alert at 1.30am (some inner turkish family twists finished off with a molotov cocktail), 7am start at fire station for the youth fire competition in our village, another alert at 1.30pm for breaking up a door coz some diabetic forgot to set his shot and was unconscious already (blood sugar 24, <20 and it gets completely severe, I was told), cleaning up the competition ground and finally coming back in at 8pm.

Due to the circumstances I was unable to watch any of the bike racing yesterday but learnt that the Penz13 squad arrived on a sensational 3rd place and that following the desatrous start hour where they lost 5 to 7 laps due to an ECU failure. Great stuff !
Also, Horst Saiger (who was co-commentating for German Eurosport) told that he'll ride for German GERT56 squad, starting with the Le Mans 24h, in April 2018.

What I could see in the uncommented world feed, after I was home from the molotov cocktail fire looked really great. One day, I`ll be there !

I sadly lost the feed, because they stopped the broadcast and went to the Cycling World Championships.

SRC shuffled back to start pos. 2 because YART's reserve rider set the fastest lap overall and was swapped in over night. Strange rules

Just noticed we get the first hour on our Eurosport channel, with updates and coverage for an hour or two here and there through the event. In fact the programming starts in a couple of minutes for I guess a short intro before the start.

Really an amazing race with favourites dropping like flies. Early pace setters NRT48 and YART retired. SRC recovered to 16 laps down after an early lowsider and continueing troubles as a result.

GMT94 leads with 5 laps over TCC Honda and Honda Endurance a further 3 laps down.
Teams such as Penz13 and Bolliger made up positions with consistency and running 4th and 5th respectively.

A bit more than 7 hours to go still though

Danny Webb of Penz13 lowsided yesterday evening and popped out his shoulder in the process but seemingly never recognised it. He went on to pick up the bike and popped it back in in the process and continued but the shoulder would pop out again under brakes for next corner and Danny just popped it back in to continue and finish his stint.

Talk about being in the zone

Huge crash for the leader GMT94 with David Checa onboard. Bike doesn't look good and David has to push it back from backstraight
