Racing incident at the end of the day. Marquez moves under braking whereas Zarco brakes a little later. Scary stuff with Zarco thankfully staying out of the gravel, which would have likely resulted in a different outcome for him.
For me the scariest part was seeing Iannone’s closing speed as braked far later than the group ahead and for a moment I thought Zarco or his bike would be collected by Maniac.
Autosport.com wrote:The MV Agusta Forward Racing team is considering bringing back Romano Fenati after it terminated the disgraced Italian racer's 2019 Moto2 contract.
Fenati was effectively banned from racing in the grand prix paddock for the rest of 2018 after he grabbed the brake lever grab of rival Stefano Manzi in September's race at Misano.
As a result of the incident, Fenati was dropped by the Snipers team with which he was competing in Moto2 in 2018.
The Forward squad, where he had signed an agreement to race in Moto2 next season the month before the Misano incident, also announced that it would be cancelling the arrangement for 2019.
But it has now emerged that Forward, which is bringing back the famous MV Agusta brand to grand prix motorcycling next year, is seriously considering restoring its contract with Fenati.
It is believed that team owner Giovanni Cuzari sees rehabilitating Fenati as a way to enhance the squad's image.
It remains to be seen whether MV, whose president Giovanni Castiglioni criticised Fenati on social media, sees things in the same way.
Should the move come off, it would mean Fenati would actually partner Manzi in 2019.
But Forward is also evaluating two other Moto2 veterans for its second seat.
These are Mattia Pasini, who has been dropped by his Italtrans team for 2019, and Dominique Aegerter, the Kiefer Racing rider that recently suggested '18 could be his last season in the class.
Ongoing pain from his fractured left wrist proved too much at Sepang. He was slowesr by 3.5 secs in P1 and 5 secs in P2.
Lorenzo will be replaced by Michele Pirro, who was unavailable last weekend due to testing duties for Ducati but was sent to Malaysia to be on standby for the Spaniard.

Marquez was penalised of 6 positions after an slowing down iannone in the qualyfying. Marquez fell before and was trying to make his last attempts. I am not sure he was in his warm up or chronoblap but indeed marquez did not see iannone coming and there was misunderstanding between the two.

This is a pathetic saga with Lorenzo. Just shut him down for the season

It seems the reason is in a clause which in case lorenzo doesnt race in 3 venues he has to give back ducati 400k € of his salary. Ducati tm ciabatti said that his race would nlt count becase thai gp fall was led by mechanical reason but lorenzo tried to race either to aboid further legal problems
So the team can't prevent him from pulling this stunt? They got medical staff there, right? I bet we'll see this in Valencia too bc it's a Spanish round

I think so also because otherwise he has to pay half a million.
Meanwhile the story has degenerated and lorenzo sent hard tweets vs dovizioso, who commented the story saying that in ducati similiar things happened often to certain riders, saying dovi is and envious person and not a gentleman.
Bagnaia won the moto2 championship thanks to a third position finish in thenrace dominated by his teamate luca marini. It s the first victory for valentino rossi brother who showed a lot of improvements this year.
After the race the vr46 sky racing team prepared a curtain behind which bagnaia bike was redecalled with a new golden livery. It took ages to complete and when they did the bike broke and bagnaia had to go back on a scooter.
Ain't there a rule to get the bike back to pitlane/parc ferme within a certain time frame post race? Not quite sure, I may mix it up with superbikes/supersport
