Shaun Winfield just had a big accident at the end of Hawthorns Bend where he crashed hard into the air fence. Luckily, was walked away from the scene.
A replay of the accident was not shown.

There was another strange warm up lap incident at the start of the final Ducati Cup race with a couple riders going down and partly hit hard by other bikes. Thankfully all walked away from it but it included the in the championship 2nd placed rider whose bike went beyond repair. So to his 6.5 pts down 25 more points added as the cs leader won the race. Tough luck really

The German national series IDM heads to its remaining real road race at the Schleizer Dreieck this weekend. How it looks I'll be meeting @Jacob there. I'll be departing home Friday very early and hope to arrive down there between 9 and 10am. In preparation for the trip I did a test run with the pillion bags on Sunday.
A few pics from the test run below

I just hope the weather betters a bit as I don't fancy sporting my rainsuit.

This shall be good

BSB is at UK's slipstream city circuit at Thruxton this weekend. The Supersport race yesterday was nothing short of sensational. If you like races such as the NW200 or bike races at Monza, this is a must see. Today from 12:30 UK time on British Eurosport 2 or Eurosports online player

A guy (Mark Fincham) in the Superstock 1000 wasn't so lucky and has died from his injuries, he came off at the exit of the chicane (highsided) and was hit by his team mate, they did show it at the time and I'll nick the Mrs phone later and try to do a cap of it, but it wasn't a nice looking crash, pretty obvious what he died from unfortunately.

RIP Mark Fincham.

Thoughts and condolences to friends and family, especially the other rider who was in no way at fault.
