Bottom post of the previous page:

Another stunning race, one that wasn't clear who would be the winner until the finish line.

Great racing again. Well worth the 3:30am start :)
Phillips Island delivers. I really wish we'd see much more of the old circuits such as Spa & Monza than say Buriram. Only too bad that the bloody full antivir scan took on all night.

Twitter updates on injured riders from the official WSB feed. I hope the injured riders get well soon.

Its a little concerning that Cluzel has been airlifted to the Epworth. I dont know the nature of his injuries, but the Epworth is the main Melbourne hospital specialising in head, spinal, brain and neuro damage. More general and other emergency ailments would go to the Alfred hospital. (The Alfred is also a lot closer to PI than the Epworth which is more North of Melbourne)

Wishing him the very best.... hopefully reasons for my concern are wide of the mark, and that his transfer there is more precautionary than for actual treatment. Pray his scans and assessment have a positive prognosis.
Speedy recovery to all injured riders.

Basically, he fell on his bum, which is the tail end of the lower spine. And this from rather great height. Injuries from these rather slow but high dives can be rather nasty. Anyway, I wish him the very best.

Lol, I just edited my initial post to include spinal injuries. Must have been while you were posting as there were no posts beyond mine.

Anyway the good wishes remain.
Thanks for the update Andy.

Great racing in race 2. Nice to see three manufacturers battling for the win. Hoping Yamaha give Lowes a strong machine for the year that can consistently challenge Kawasaki and Ducati, not the POS they gave Guintoli last year. And Honda, they seem to have gone back to the team that held up Rea's career for many years. They were invisible all weekend.

Hmm.
Ten Kate's problem with the Honda is, that the new bike saw its first test session in FP1 rather than weeks before. HRC brought it to Phillips Island directly without winter testing for the team.

Thanks for the information Andy. Let me clarify my statement, Ten Kate are a quality team but Honda's support year on year appears questionable. Honda seem to only try half-arsed in WSBK compared to MotoGP, it's been the same over the past 15 years with a couple of exceptions.

Race 1 about to get under way with the bikes heading out to the dummy grid and National Anthem. Its a scorching 36C and big humidity so it will be a hard race for riders and tyres.

It was a good race. Especially the finish between Sykes and Melandri but not as exciting as Phillips Island ;)
Tough one for Eugene Laverty though. Still wonder where that gap between Bradl and Hayden came from as they were travelling together early on. Disappointed with Reiterberger though since Jordi Torres showed the potential of the bimmer.

No spoilers yet :haha:

Great three abreast battle for the lead with 7 laps to go in the SuperSports.

Edit: Spoke too soon as the second I posted the leader slowed with the bike smoking.... :sorrow: Then there were two.

Epically crazy race with all these engine failures and Kyle Rides blindness.
Cheers to Niki Tuuli
