I'm no expert in the crashes before the 60's, but i think in this video there is at least one fatal crash. I hope someone can identify who and when.

The first accident im not sure but there is a fatal definitely involving spectators at the end of the clip
The part with the burning car

A bit like having a parachute fail and have you fall broken by trees I guess.
He was seriously injured I believe they said.

The other accidents are from the Nutley Velodrome. I've made no progress on those.

Well, not entirely true, the footage of the Nutley flip is also on the Italian newsreel version, which is dated 11/05/1939.



Maybe that is enough to find the incident mentioned in the news.
