During 1989 Rallye de Wallonie (round of Belgium rally championship) held from 2 to 4 June 1989, German crew left the road during one of Wartet special stages, crashed into fence and fell three meters below; one of drivers was killed and second was left tetraplegic. According to ewrc-results.com, it was Peugeot 309 GTI of Christian Wolf and Oliver Michel that was involved in fatal crash, but I don't found any other information about unfortunate crew.

Crashed into fence and fell three meters below. Co-driver Oliver Michel was left tetraplegic.
It's actually the other way around. Just spoke with an acquaintance of mine and a friend of his. She worked in the car dealership which was owned by Wolf's parents at the time.

Christian Wolf survived and his co-driver Oliver Michel (from Rohrbach, Saarland) was killed. He was apparently braindead and the life supporting machines were turned off Monday after the accident.
Wolf is still alive but apparently severly disabled. He was cared for by his parents.

Age at death missing. @Sedre, you once stated that you found his age during your own research.

The following article says he was 20. Can you confirm?
https://www.e-newspaperarchives.ch/?a=d ... ----0-----

The article above is inconsistent with this one:
https://www.e-newspaperarchives.ch/?a=d ... ----0-----

One says Hutin died at the scene while the other says he died after being admitted to the hospital.
He was reported to be from Geneva (article 1) or from Laconnex (article 2). I'm assuming the first article was talking of the canton of Geneva.

Hutin's age is stated to be 20 by two other Swiss newspapers:

https://www.e-newspaperarchives.ch/?a=d ... ----0-----
https://www.e-newspaperarchives.ch/?a=d ... ----0-----

However, only one (first one) states that he died in hospital so I'm not sure if he indeed died there or if he was dead at scene.

About his place of living - source 1 states Laconnex, source 2 and source 3: https://www.e-newspaperarchives.ch/?a=d ... ----0----- states that he was "Genevois" - I also believe that it means that he was from Geneva canton.

Italian driver Michele Gerolami (24) died from heart attack while competing in Italian Formula Driver Championship at Bigolino di Valdobbiadene in Treviso:

https://ricerca.gelocal.it/messaggerove ... _DTA3.html
https://ricerca.gelocal.it/tribunatrevi ... TC101.html

@Motorsportrace, maybe you can find more about this case. I didn't find in which type of event Gerolami's death happened - practice, race or something else.

It happened on sunday morning.
The articles say it was during the race (the circuit was built in a large square, outside an industrial building, so it must've been quite small).

Tom Stewart's entry is wrong. He died in 1980.

http://motorsportmemorial.org/focus.php?db=ct&n=1404
Stewart was the first victim of a racing accident in eight seasons of Formula Atlantic championships, and the first person to lose his life in fourteen years at the Lime Rock circuit.

Art Foster died in 1968:
