A tenth (alright, .12) of a second? Cool?, yeah. But, incredible? 'Doesn't stir my loins.acerogers58 wrote: ↑3 years ago "sets a new track record" "Qualifying with his incredible 9.995 sec. lap!" "The original record was 10.115 sec."

Hell, if I found it, I'd buy it and repaint it quick!!!
Now, if it were the P68, I don't think a re-paint would quite do......

Shame the P68/P69 Spyder did not perform as well as they looked. Gorgeous looking car though.

Git it right.... The 68 & 69 themselves performed just fine. Sorrowfully, just not for very long........
And that was mainly on the Cossie that was never meant for endurance racing anyway, especially that early on in it's lifetime.
Regarding the gorgeous bit, you're right. As a matter of fact, when there's a thread about "best looking" race cars, I always forget about them.

There’s only 21 cars entered for the ARCA race at Talladega this week, compared to 36 just 3 years ago, really worried about this series now it’s been bought by NASCAR.

Only 7 cars finished on the lead lap and that was without any accidents, some are calling it the worst race in ARCA history.

Tsk, tsk, tsk.
There was a time, not so many years ago (well, a few), that it was lucky for seven cars (slight exaggeration) to even finish a race period, let alone seven on the lead lap.
Whilst reviewing, I noticed Davey (Allison) won 3 'Degas in a row; his 4th separated by a Red (Farmer) win. This was topped by Grant Addcox.....the following 'Dega races to boot.....winning 4 in a row, his 5th separated, coincidentally, again, by Red's 2nd 'Dega win. Eleven 'Degas in a row, '83-'88; won by three guys. Who'da' thunk....?
Back when a good car builder could dominate (look at JJ's 5 rapid fire Cup championships); unlike the pot luck, "levelled playing field", of today.

World of Outlaws racer Mark Dobmeier suffered a serious back injury last night and has had surgery today, no further details were given, apparently it was a bad landing after a flip.

You have not installed the "Jim Clark > Proper English" plug in yet?

I think it would be a good idea, I'm lost 50% of the time.
